Botanical armour against the sun's slow toll
This product contains Nutroxsun® — a clinically studied blend of rosemary and grapefruit extracts that works from within to defend the skin against UV-triggered oxidative damage, collagen breakdown, and the visible signs of photoaging.
What is Nutroxsun?
Two botanicals. One precision formula.
Nutroxsun® is a proprietary extract combination developed by Monteloeder, pairing rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) with grapefruit (Citrus paradisi) into a standardised nutraceutical blend. Each botanical contributes distinct but complementary photoprotective compounds
Rosemary brings carnosic acid and rosmarinic acid — compounds shown to downregulate MMP enzymes and inflammatory cytokines, supporting the skin's structural resilience against UV damage. Grapefruit contributes flavones such as naringenin, which add antioxidant and anti-inflammatory action. Together, they address the full cascade of UV-induced skin injury. Full study on PMC →
As reported in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences (April 2025), the combination significantly attenuated UV-induced reductions in procollagen I and elastin — two of the skin's most important structural proteins.
The results reinforce and expand on previous evidence supporting Nutroxsun®'s role in helping maintain skin integrity and a youthful appearance when exposed to environmental stressors such as UV radiation.

Why it matters for this product
Photoaging isn't just about sunburn
Chronic, cumulative UV exposure — even on cloudy days — silently degrades the skin's structural scaffold. MMP enzymes break down collagen and elastin; oxidative stress accelerates cellular ageing; inflammation leaves a residue of dullness and uneven tone. Topical SPF addresses the surface, but the cellular mechanisms run deeper.
By including Nutroxsun® 365 at its clinically effective dose, this product supplements daily sun defence with a structural, inside-out approach — one validated across three independent clinical studies and backed by in vitro, in vivo, and human trial data.
Clinical evidence
Results measured in real skin, at real doses
A placebo-controlled, randomised, crossover trial published in April 2025 put Nutroxsun® through rigorous testing across 20 participants. The findings, available in full on PubMed Central, confirmed results across every primary endpoint.
Day 1
Erythema (redness) reduction observed from the first day of intake at both doses tested
15 days
Visible fine line improvement measured by PRIMOS 3D technology in crow's feet area
3×
Clinical studies supporting Nutroxsun® across photoprotection, elasticity and structural outcomes
